Description

Specialized in adapted physical activity, the NeuroMotrix team has made it its mission to improve the quality of life of people living with a neurological disorder (Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, post-stroke, cognitive decline, chronic pain, lack of balance, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue, etc.) or related symptoms. Neither illness nor age should prevent a person from enjoying the universal benefits of physical activity. In order to meet the specific needs of each individual, the NeuroMotrix team has developed an approach that bridges the gap between science and practice. NeuroMotrix kinesiologist start every new consultation with a physical evaluation to observe your capacities and limitations, and discuss your history, so your exercise program his tailored to your functional needs and interest. You can choose to train with your kinesiologist as many time as needed, in person or by virtual means. Working with a health professional as a positive impact on your training’s consistency and efficiency, and sense of security.

Area of Expertise

The co-founder’s of NeuroMotrix met in 2015 in a research laboratory, as they collaborate on the feasibility of physical activity based-study with a Parkinson population. From there, they have expand there one-on-one service to wide collaboration with regional associations like : Parkinson Quebec, Parkinson Montreal-Laval, Parkinson Monteregie, Parkinson Quebec Basses-Laurentides, and many more. Services vary from personal training session, to group activities like Adapted Boxing and Nordic Walking, and online training sessions for the regional associations.
