This group is meant for those facing Parkinson’s alone.
Support Groups are led by volunteer facilitators, both in-person and virtually. All are designed to provide a safe, comfortable place for people to connect and share with each other on how to live well with Parkinson’s. This group takes place on the 2nd Friday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Area of Expertise
Founded in 1969, Parkinson Society British Columbia is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the Parkinson’s community by providing resources and services to enable self-management, self-reliance, and self-advocacy. They support individuals with Parkinson’s and their loved ones through one-on-one consultations, free short-term counselling, healthcare navigation, virtual physiotherapy, support groups, educational seminars and workshops, and the PD Link peer support program. The Society also advocates for improved care, produces informational materials, offers specialized training for healthcare professions, and funds research to advance treatments.
