Area of Expertise

Jasmine Cload is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who provides speech and swallowing services for people living with Parkinson Disease and other neurological movement diagnoses. Jasmine helped create British Columbia’s first full-time public SLP program for Parkinson Disease, and she is also the founder of SpeakSTRONG. Jasmine has completed additional training with Parkinson’s Foundation, and is one of ten Pan-American clinicians selected by the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society (MDS) to be a Parkinson Disease trainer for other healthcare professionals. Jasmine is the first Canadian chosen by the International Society to receive this advanced training. Jasmine is a certified provider of both Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD®) and SPEAK OUT!® treatment programs, for which she has received the Parkinson Voice Project® grant three years in a row. Jasmine has provided a variety of education seminars and workshops to hospital teams, professionals, support groups, and the public. Jasmine is a clinical educator with the University of British Columbia, and she is a volunteer member of the Adult Services Committee with Speech and Hearing BC. Jasmine’s work has been recognized with a Celebration of Excellence award by Island Health.
