Description

Wellness consulting is offered through two specialized approaches:

  1. Fitness & Wellness Coaching: Professional strength training and fitness coaching tailored to both general and specific populations.
  2. Myofascial Therapy: Soft tissue release using Eastern techniques, including finger point acupressure, shiatsu, and full-body massage.

These services help individuals achieve balance in their bodies, relieve pain, reduce stiffness, rehabilitate injuries, and manage complex pain conditions.

Area of Expertise

Since 2017, I have specialized in working with people who suffer from Parkinson’s disease. I have experience helping individuals develop movement and fitness regimens that are effective, appropriate, and enjoyable. I support people in increasing balance, reducing tremors and stiffness, enhancing strength, decreasing pain, and alleviating fatigue. Over time, my sessions help restore confidence, self-esteem, and physical ability. I also assist individuals in improving their sleep quality and achieving deeper rest.

I help people return to or establish new activities that bring joy and fulfillment to their lives. I hold a degree in Kinesiology from UBC and am a practicing kinesiologist with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. Additionally, I am certified in advanced shiatsu and attended Ohashi’s Parkinson’s program in Vienna in 2019. I offer myotherapy, have worked with BC’s regional chronic pain director at VGH, presented research ideas to the Pacific Parkinson’s Research Centre, and attended PPRC lectures.
